The LodgeNestled at the start of the canyon, Fly Fishers Inn offers you comfort and convenience in a country setting. Overlooking the river at the foot of Mountain Palace Rock, the lodge houses the kitchen and dining room. The guest rooms are in a separate building which was built in 1991. The lodge was originally built as a roadside tavern when the "new" road was built in the mid-thirties. Gourmet dinners and breakfasts are served in its quaint atmosphere with its open timbers, fine hardwood paneling, and stone fireplace. The pre-fixe five course dinner menus are changed daily. You may choose between a continental breakfast or the special breakfast of the day. Everything on our menu is made fresh. We use only the finest ingredients, including fresh from the garden herbs and delicate liquors. Our homemade breads are topped with herbs, olive oil, and seasonings. All courses are prepared just moments before they are served to you. A variety of excellent wines as well as beer and liquor are available. Each guest room, complete with private bath, is separate from the main lodge and has been designed for quiet and relaxation. There are no televisions or phones in the rooms. Guided fly fishing, float trips, hiking and horseback rides can be arranged to view the route of Lewis and Clark from a different perspective. Photographic opportunities of the spectacular volcanic formed canyon, unique flora, and abundant wildlife abound |
